Wwhat are other ways to ensure Windows keeps working fine, say, after 6 months of being installed?

Besides antivirus, antispyware, firewall, defragmenters, ccleaner, what are other ways to ensure Windows (XP, Vista or the betas of 7) does not give errors, and keeps working fine, say, after 6 months of being installed?

What are good tips to avoid having problems with Windows?

Make sure if you download that you use common cense when doing so. I would also make sure you keep all the lastest updates on everything you install from microsfot keeping antivirus up to date.

best thing to do to ensure Windows works properly is to make sure you buy an Apple next time you buy a computer. Apple computers do not have the bugs that Windows has; you can use Open Office, Safari, and other non-windows software.

Other than what you stated above, make sure you have a very good UPS unit and back up your files to an off storage place such as me.com. Not having an UPS unit is an invitation to disaster

You just have to be on top of your game, know what’s happening to your PC even when you aren’t there. Avoid excessive tweaking, especially to the registry.
