What I did two years ago was to reformat the hard drive and reinstall VISTA along with the programs I wanted.

Then I updated all the drivers.

That got rid of the bloatware many makers install on the computer.

Too many to list because Vista comes with a LOT of junk.
Just Google "optimizing Vista" or something like that and read what "experts" say.

start> run> type msconfig> go to startup and uncheck unwanted programs on startup> apply> ok
