I just got Windows Vista?
What are some good ways to optimize Windows Vista? Any unnecessary startup programs? Unneeded processes? And so on and so forth. Give some tips please.

What I did two years ago was to reformat the hard drive and reinstall VISTA along with the programs I wanted.
Then I updated all the drivers.
That got rid of the bloatware many makers install on the computer.
Too many to list because Vista comes with a LOT of junk.
Just Google "optimizing Vista" or something like that and read what "experts" say.
I hate the UAC controls.

start> run> type msconfig> go to startup and uncheck unwanted programs on startup> apply> ok
